Course English Literature

Two books that i want  to talk about " Divergent" and "The Hunger Games". I choose them because:
1) they contain some interesting ideas that should be discussed
2) I know we will never analise them at school ( which is sad in my opinion).

Even though they are based on the same idea they show how we divide ourselves in groups and how we can be manipulated.

I'll try to be really short, so here are the main ideas that caught my attention:

1) Behind every revolution there is someone who wants the hole power and we have to be really careful when we choose a part. We'll never know who is the bad or the good guy ( or if there is a good guy)

2) T.V manipulates you everyday. Benjamin Franklin said : "Believe none of what you hear and half of what you see". We should apply this when we watch t.v shows.

3) One way to manipulate people is to separate them. Is really easy to apply this. In the past the church did it and now the TREND is used. In both books the society was divided: in Hunger Games there were 13 districts  and in Divergent existed 5 factions (based on human aptitudes and vaules).

This post is short, but i will continue it another time.
